CELEBRATING UNITY IN DIVERSITY…
Just as it is important to stay vigilant against the dangers that threaten the peace, security and well-being of all, it is equally essential to celebrate the triumphs and successes, and to acknowledge and promote those spaces and environments where peace already flourishes. Like the earth, humanity is incomprehensibly diverse. Rather than a source of problems, however, this can and should be a reason for celebration. The human body, like other living things, survives and thrives through the unity of purpose of its diverse and highly specialised organs. Why should neighbourhoods, nations, or the global community be any different?
